Tyler Olson, DPT, PT

Tyler was raised in Washburn, WI and has a lot of family/community ties to the surrounding Bay Area. He received his undergraduate bachelor degree in Exercise Physiology from The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. He continued his schooling at St. Scholastica with completion of his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016. Tyler has been active in athletics throughout High School and College. He participated in football, basketball, and track & field all four years in High School and played football for The College of St. Scholastica for four years.

Tyler began his Physical Therapy career for Wilson Physical Therapy in May 2016. He has been involved in coaching youth sports (football, basketball, weight training) and is an active CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (CF-L1) at the local Gritty Fish CrossFit in Washburn. He enjoys hunting/fishing, exercise, family time, and spending time at his cabin property outside of Washburn.

Why did you become a Physical Therapist? I have always been involved in athletics since I was very young. I think my first word was “ball.” I imagined working with pro sports teams and elite athletes when I began my PT journey. Moving back to my local community has provided more purpose in my profession than working with any sports team. I am grateful to be working with my local community and helping people on their paths to improve their function and meet physical goal achievements post-surgery, with their dizziness/balance deficits, and in recovery from general aches and pains.

Specialties: Sports Injuries, Orthopedics, Pre and Post-operative care, Neck and Low back injuries, Vestibular/BPPV treatment, Concussions, Dry Needling, and Balance training.
